The Beginning of Benuga: A Story Rooted in Hospitality and Local Heart

In 2022, after years of hands-on experience in all levels of tourism (from kitchen, reception, etc.), both, Ines and Peter decided to rise to higher level. Benuga (combination of the surrnames Benedejčič and Šeruga) was born not just from a business idea and needs, but from a shared belief: True hospitality is unreasonable—it goes beyond expectations, beyond what’s written in the booking confirmation, and straight into the realm of human connection.

We started small, offering cleaning services and local transfers. But our vision was always bigger. We wanted to build a company that reflects the values we live by—authenticity, community, and care—and create something that truly honors the places we live and the people who live here.

Our Roots

Both founders of Benuga spent years immersed in the hospitality industry, each in his/her home base.

Ines, born and raised in heart of Pomurje region (Prekmurje and Goričko region), where "Prekmurska gibanica", Expano, thermal sources and friendly people are located; and Peter, from Kobarid, Soča valley and Julian Alps region, with mountains and emerald rivers are located; are more than qualified to establish business in tourism industry. From front desks to guest services, logistics to operations, we saw it all. But most importantly, we learned what matters. We saw the joy in a well-prepared room, the ease in a smooth transfer, and the power of a small gesture offered at just the right time.
