Dolina Soče

The Soča Valley

The Soča Valley trip presents you the stunning beauty of the valley, which is closely tied to the Soča River. Our journey begins with a climb to the foothill of Vršič, leading us to the small village of Trenta. From there, we descend through the valley, visiting The Great and The Small Soča Gorge, the Boka Waterfall, the Napolon Bridge, and the Kozjak Waterfall near Kobarid. In Kobarid, there will be some time for lunch (we can arrange a traditional meal at a restaurant in Kobarid or by the Nadiža River).

After lunch, we continue down the valley along the route of famous cycling races in Slovenia, including the Giro d'Italia, heading towards the outdoor museum at Kolovrat. Following a brief walk, we descend towards Most na Soči, where we will enjoy a short stroll by the lake. After a short walk, we will return back home.

Zgodovina in 1. sv. vojna

History and World War I

This excursion offers an insight into the history and events that unfolded throughout the ages. We will travel to the Soča Valley via Kranjska Gora, where we will choose one of two routes: the path through the Russian Chapel and Vršič Pass, or the route through Rabelj, Lake Rabelj, and Predil Pass. As we explore the Soča Valley, we will visit the Kluže Fortress and Kobarid, where we will tour the World War I museums (in Kobarid or Breginj), The Italian Charnel House with baroque chapel of St Anthony, The Cheese Museum (from the mountain pastures to Planika), with a tasting of the traditional Tolminc cheese. Since Frika and Kobarid's Štruklji are traditional dishes that have long connected the people of Kobarid, we will make a stop for a quick lunch.

After lunch, we will follow the paths of the Giro d'Italia and the Tour of Slovenia cycling races, heading to the outdoor museum at Kolovrat. The trip concludes with a drive towards Ljubljana, taking the road along the Soča river, passing through Solkan, where the largest stone arch bridge in the world stands.

Kulinarični potep

3. Culinary Journey

Recognizing that many of us are culinary enthusiasts, we’ve designed an experience that connects two regions: the Soča Valley and Goriška Brda. We’ll blend the scents and flavors of both destinations into a day that begins with coffee by Lake Bled. From Bled, we’ll head towards Bohinjska Bistrica, where we’ll board the Motorail trains. After an hour-long train ride, we’ll arrive in the Soča Valley, and after a short drive, we’ll reach Kobarid. Here we’ll visit the Cheese Museum (from the mountain pastures to Planika), where we’ll learn about the history of dairy product and cheese production and the famous Tolminc cheese through an interactive presentation and tasting.

After the tasting, we’ll visit well-known locations around Kobarid (such as Napoleon’s Bridge over the Soča River, the Kozjak Waterfall and the Italian Charnel House with baroque chapel of St Anthony), followed by a traditional lunch at one of the local inns. After lunch, we’ll follow the Soča or Nadiža River routes towards Goriška Brda, where we’ll stop at a selected winery for a tasting of local wines and cured meat products, along with a tour of the winery. After the tasting, we’ll descend from Brda to Nova Gorica and Gorizia (the European Capitals of Culture 2025), passing the largest stone arch bridge on our way to Ljubljana.

Prekmurje

Prekmurje

Prekmurje, the most eastern region of Slovenia, is relatively unexplored, which is why we have extended the traditional "Slovenian travel route" to include this area. It is a part of Slovenia known for its exceptional cuisine, authentic people, and significant natural and cultural potential.

We present Prekmurje comprehensively, in collaboration with local providers, offering one, two, and multi-day tours. These excursions can be incorporated into the " Slovenian travel route" creating an unified experience. The model for creating the tourist experience will depend on the chosen adventure.
